Registrar's Notes

It is my pleasure to welcome all prospective law students and their parents to visit our School of Law at Kathmandu University (KUSOL).

The School is in its fifth year of operation. It was kicked off in 2014 on a very firm background and is set to establish itself as a leading center of legal education and research in Nepal and the region and is geared towards meeting societal needs.

The Registrar's Office at Kathmandu University work under the direction of the Vice-Chancellor on the day-to-day administration of the affairs of the University, and provides leadership back up and policy information to faculty, staff, students, alumni, central administration and external constituencies. In terms of ensuring quality assurance, the office of the Registrar is also a keeper of the university's values and traditions and enforcer of rules and regulations. As an integral part of the University, it is committed to making the university a world-class institution and has indeed worked assiduously to uphold its vision and mission.

The School of Law, as every School in the KU, is committed to ensuring equal opportunity for all its students and stakeholders and is committed to a policy against discrimination in employment based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, or disability. It is committed to providing courteous and professional service to all our associates. We look forward to the opportunity to explain our academic offers and support to the needs of students.

This website is designed to provide information to help you while attending the School of Law. My colleagues at KUSOL are eager to answer your questions and provide you with important dates and information in regard to your academic progression toward graduation. If you desire additional information not provided here, please feel free to contact respective sections at Kathmandu University.

As the School of Law is new, often with pressing requirements, the whole university machinery understands the priority to be given to its needs and requirements. I want to work with you, the students and parents, to make sure that we meet our standards in what we are doing.
