Sameep Khanal is a corporate and dispute resolution lawyer with over six years of experience advising clients on arbitration, project finance, and cross-border transactions. He holds a Master's in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS), LL.M., awarded jointly by the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies and the University of Geneva on a MIDS-managed scholarship, and a B.A., LL.B. from Kathmandu School of Law. He is licensed to practice by the Nepal Bar Council.

He has worked with a leading law firm in Nepal, where he advised on international arbitration and project development matters, including a USD 453 million multilateral financing on the Upper-Trishuli-1 Project recognized as Project Finance International's Transaction of the Year, and drafting work on the Model Bilateral Investment Treaty of Nepal for the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies. He currently serves as Managing Partner at Niti Partners, advising clients on arbitration, banking and finance.

Khanal writes regularly on arbitration and finance law in Nepal, including for the Kluwer Arbitration Blog and other legal publications, and has contributed to edited volumes on project finance. He is the contributing author of the Nepal chapter of the ICLG Guide to International Arbitration.
