Professor (Dr) M. P. Singh, is a renowned constitutional scholar of India. Currently, he is Chairperson of Delhi Judicial Academy.

Singh did his LL.M from University of Lucknow and again from Columbia Law School. He also studied and researched in Germany at the South Asia Institute of the University of Heidelberg, and at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and international Law. Singh has continued to revise V.N. Shukla's Constitution of India, a standard textbook for lawyers on the Indian Constitution. He has laid special emphasis in making legal education more meaningful to Indian society by making the top law schools more accessible to the students from less privileged background.

Professor Singh started his career as a Lecturer in Law at the University of Meerut. In 1970, he joined the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, where he was to remain as a Professor of Law till 2005. In 1994, he was appointed as the Dean and Head of the Department of Law, positions that he retained till 1997. He also served as the Director of the Indian Law Institute and the Vice Chancellor of The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata.

Professor Singh has been the law teacher and supervisor of some of the best known lawyers and legal experts of Nepal. He is also mentoring the KUSL establishment process. Professor Singh will be available for the School of Law for faculty development and periodic visits when required.
